The SCC Library has books, articles databases, videos, and other resources which will help you learn how to write (and conduct research) for a research paper.

This guide lists resources you can use to: 

  • learn how to write a college research paper

  • conduct research
  • cite your sources
  • avoid plagiarism
  • watch video tutorials about the writing process
  • get research help from the library

To get help with the actual writing of your paper, contact SCC Tutoring Services where tutors will assist you on-ground and online:

Books, eBooks, & Videos

Use the library Search to find books on specific subjects. You'll find print books and some ebooks.

Your SCC Library has books on these subjects and more:

  • Written Communication
  • Report writing - Handbooks, manuals, etc.
  • Research - Handbooks, manuals, etc.
  • Academic writing - Handbooks, manuals, etc.
  • Plagiarism
  • Books that check out are on the library 2nd floor. 
  • Reference books are on the 1st floor. They're a great starting place for research.
  • Partner Libraries search will find books at Gonzaga and other area college libraries.
