Accessing Spokane Public Library Resources

All SCC students and faculty are pre-approved for an online login to Kanopy and other SPL digital resources

Getting a Spokane Public Library number and PIN

With changes to SPL's website in December 2021, you will need to follow the temporary procedure listed below for getting a library card number and PIN as an SCC student, faculty or staff.  [If you are a city of Spokane resident and already have a library card and PIN you can proceed to the Kanopy Streaming Videos box below and follow the steps to access Kanopy.]

  1. Go to http://www.spokanelibrary.org/signup
  2. Fill out the Library Card Application
  3. If you are not a City of Spokane resident, enter your personal email address and phone number, BUT use 1810 N. Greene St., Spokane, WA 99217 as your street address.  This is the address for SCC.
  4. Don't forget to write down the PIN number you create.  You may need this to access SPL digital resources.
  5. Click Sign Up.  You should now have a library card number which you can use to check out physical items from any Spokane Public Library branch or to access their digital resources.

Important Note:  If your card number and PIN do not immediately work after completing the application process you will need to contact Spokane Public Library staff and say that you are an SCC student.  See the two contact options below.  Please do not attempt to apply for a card number and PIN more than once.
