Week 3: Tuesday (4/16) from 930am-1020am and Wednesday (4/17) from 830am-920am
Description: This session explores the basics of GenAI, including the technology, the functions, and ethical applications in higher education and the workplace. If you have never had any experience using a GenAI tool, or want to learn a little more, this is the session for you. This session is mostly lecture with some opportunity for GenAI practice.
Week 5: Tuesday (4/30) and Wednesday (5/1) from 930am-1020am
Description: This session explores how GenAI tools can be ethically and responsibly used to support your own workflows and optimize your time. During this session, you will learn a variety of practices across different GenAI tools that will support and optimize your schedule, your information management, and processes at school and at work. This session contains some lecture, and is mostly hands-on / activity-based.
Week 7: Tuesday (5/14) and Wednesday (5/15) from 930am-1020am
Description: This session explores how large-scale creative and artistic needs can be met with GenAI tools. Participants will be divided into groups to learn how to use GenAI tools to accomplish specific tasks in an artistic project. GenAI content in this session will include text and images. This session will be almost entirely hands-on / activity-based and will involve group work.
Week 9: Tuesday (5/28) and Wednesday (5/29) from 930am-1020am
Description: This session explores the emerging marketplace of GenAI technologies. A specific focus will be on the plugins and “GPTs” (customizations) in ChatGPT Plus. A Plus account is not required to participate. This session will primarily be lecture- and demonstration-based.
