Information Literacy* instruction in a variety of modes is available each quarter. SCC librarians are happy to partner with you to support students' development of critical thinking and lifelong learning about information. Contact the liaison librarian to your discipline or department, or use the library's online instruction request form.

Before arriving to the area in late August, I spent eight and a half years at Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) and over a decade in Seattle. For my first year at the college, I will be serving as the liaison to Business Technology and Geology. I am committed to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion work, love organizing events, and leading open education initiatives. In my free time I enjoy travel and experimental writing.
Throughout October, SCC Library is highlighting banned books. View the online guide and/or stop by the library to see an interactive display designed by Circulation Supervisor, Kelsey MacCartney.
The display coincides with the upcoming Hagan Center Series featuring author George M. Johnson (October 25th). Johnson’s book All Boys Ain’t Blue was the second-most challenged book in the USA in 2022 and has had a profound impact on many readers across the country.
