"I'm thrilled to join the SCC Library as Adjunct Reference Librarian this quarter. Since moving to Spokane in 2017, I've had the pleasure of supporting international students with their information needs at the Falls and Gonzaga. Returning to the CCS family, I look forward to serving SCC students, faculty, and staff, and getting involved with the thriving, vibrant community on campus. Description: This session will explore the basics of GenAI, including the technology, the functions, and ethical applications in higher education and the workplace. If you have never had any experience using a GenAI tool, or want to learn a little more, this is the session for you. This session is mostly lecture with some opportunity for GenAI practice.

Description: This session explores the ethical nature of technology, exploring the basics of ethics and connections to Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). Many ethical issues will be discussed. Examples of ethical and unethical behavior in higher education and beyond will be provided. The session will conclude with an open discussion.
